Holy shit! I’m actually excited for the new Rancid album after hearing the title tune “Tomorrow Never Comes”. Haven’t heard them sound this hppd since the black Rancid 2000 album. Fast, catchy, angry, straight to the fucking point. All 3 singers trade lead, and it’s the best of all their worlds. No Matt Freeman rapping over here, just belching out “tomorrow” in that throaty gravel he owns so well. Tim takes the urgent raspy verse, and Lars owns the pre chorus.
The song (and album) is produced by Brett Gurewitz, and the music video is co-directed by Tim Armstrong and Kevin Kerslake. Nothing fancy, just a gritty performance in a lockout.
